The United Nations has condemned President Donald Trump’s “racist” description of African nations and Haiti as “shithole countries,” amid global outrage over the vulgar comments.

United States Chief executive Donald Trump reportedly used what “shithole countries” to refer to third-world nations from Africa, along with Haiti and El Salvador, in the Oval Office at the White House on January 11, regarding to a written report in The Washington Post.

In a discussion with lawmakers on immigration, Trump reportedly asked why the U.S. should accept more immigrants from Haiti and “shithole countries.”

The incident occurred when senators in Trump’s office were discussing methods to protect immigrants in america. Trump interrupted the conference and said, “What makes we having each one of these folks from shithole countries come here?”

Trump went on to claim that rather than bringing in folks from the countries he was explicitly opposed to, america should try bringing in folks from countries like Norway. Trump also recommended that even Parts of asia are alright in his publication as they are useful to the United Claims’ economy, regarding to him.

Specifically, Trump was aghast with the idea of Haitian immigrants – he apparently said, “Why do we are in need of more Haitians? Take them out.”

Following the publication of the survey, the White House spokesperson Raj Shah did not deny or accept the account, and instead defended Trump’s views on immigration.

“Certain Washington politicians choose to battle for international countries, but President Trump will always combat for the American people,” Shah said in a statement.

Trump’s comments caused a wave of criticism across American broadcast media and the internet. “Shithole countries” and “shithole” colored the debate of the hour with many Twitter users pointing out the amount of times the word has been found in recent hours across news channels.

He may be a president already known for his crude language and off-color remarks demeaning other nations, but Donald Trump’s description of Haiti, El Salvador and some parts of Africa as “shithole countries” has sparked unprecedented international outrage.

Trump was meeting with lawmakers at the White House on Thursday to discuss a bipartisan immigration deal when he reportedly grew frustrated at the suggestion that immigrants with protected status would need that status restored.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said. On Friday morning, Trump seemed to deny using those specific words in a tweet.

The United Nations human rights office on Friday rejected his words as “racist” and inciting xenophobia.
